2018 Informant

The Informant is jammy and lush! We created this wine by co-fermenting 4% Viognier with 96% Syrah and aging the blend for 19 months on 50% new French oak. The result is a wine that is deep and concentrated in both color and flavor. The nose sets the stage with juicy Bing cherry, crushed rose petals and just a trace of earth and minerality. The mouthfeel is smooth and full-bodied, with a palate featuring rhubarb pie, marionberry jam, black currant, and rich honeycomb. Plum skin and fig linger through a lengthy finish.
